While the weather has been unpredictable this Summer one thing you can count on is Auto Cross … come on out to “Run for the Sun”!

The “Run for the Sun” Auto Cross Event will be held Saturday, September 11 at Alaska Raceway Park.

Registration/Tech Inspection- 8-9:30am

Driver’s Meeting/Course Walk thru- 9:45-10:15am

First Car on Course- 10:30am

Registration for Non-Members- $35.00

Registration for Members- $25.00

Pre Pay at “Hi-Speed Solutions” on Arctic Blvd. OR at the gate.

Things to bring:

Food (snack shop will NOT be open and we will not have a scheduled lunch break)

Warm Clothes (It’s Palmer, what can I say)

Rain gear (It’s Palmer, what can I say)

This is one of the last 3 Auto-cross events of the season so DON’T miss out!

Pre-Fall Tanacross Tech Inspection

Date: August 28, 2010

Time: 12 – 5 pm

Location: Hale’s Technical Service – park in large south lot, do not park behind the shop.

Notes: Vehicles that do not go to this free tech inspection and require a tech inspection at the event will incur a $50 fee. Vehicles that passed during the Spring Tech Inspection are not required to go to this one. Any vehicle that did not pass in the spring is required to go to this.

Exhibition & Car Show at the North Star Speedway in Wasilla, AK.

Wheel to Wheel cars must be at the track by 2:30 pm, racing starts by 4 pm.

AutoX cars are more than welcome to come, we will show them off parked at the top of the hill and down in the pits.

Midnight Sun Street Rod Association presents the 32nd Annual Jay Ofsthun Memorial Show & Shine

Alaska Sports Car Club will be participating in this event as we did last year. This is open to all cars: wheel to wheel, street, drag, etc. There will be members there all day so the option to drop off your vehicle to show is available, just be sure to come back and pick it up at 5pm.

Meeting: Barnes & Noble Parking Lot, 6:30am
Driving to Park Strip at 7:00am sharp to obtain same spot as last year.
